Data we collect

We only collect the data you voluntarily provide through our forms (contact, booking, hiking, private hire) or when you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp:

  • Identity: surname, first name.
  • Contact details: email, phone, postal address, country of residence, local accommodation.
  • Service details: dates, number of participants, children’s ages, pick-up locations, flight or cruise information, desired itinerary.
  • The content of your messages and requests.

We do not collect any sensitive data and do not use automated profiling.

Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiries and prepare quotes.
  • To organise, prepare and carry out the booked service.
  • To handle invoicing and comply with our accounting and legal obligations.
  • To manage the customer relationship.

Legal basis: the performance of pre-contractual measures and of the contract (your booking), compliance with our legal obligations, and your consent for simple contact requests.

How your data flows

Our forms do not store your data on the site: they prepare a message that you send yourself, either by email or via WhatsApp. We then receive this information in our inbox.

If you choose to write to us via WhatsApp, your message passes through that service, operated by Meta, and is subject to its own privacy policy. You can always reach us by email or phone if you prefer.

Who has access to your data

Your data is intended solely for the CazBlueBirds team. It is neither sold nor transferred for commercial purposes. It may be shared with:

  • our host, o2switch (technical storage of the site), in France;
  • a partner driver from our network, only if your service is entrusted to them, and only for the information needed to carry it out;
  • the relevant authorities where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries with no follow-up: up to 3 years after the last contact.
  • Customers: for the duration of the business relationship, then for follow-up purposes.
  • Accounting records (invoices): 10 years, in accordance with our legal obligations.

Hosting & security

The site is hosted by o2switch (Chemin des Pardiaux, 63000 Clermont-Ferrand), on servers located in France. We implement reasonable measures to protect your data against any unauthorised access or use.

Cookies & external services

The site uses technical cookies necessary for it to work properly (WordPress). It also calls on external services that may record your IP address: fonts (Google Fonts), icons, flag images, and the map on the Contact page (OpenStreetMap). No advertising cookies are used.

To measure site traffic (number of visits, pages viewed, country of origin), we use WP Statistics, installed and hosted on our own server. It sets no cookies, transmits no data to third-party services and anonymises IP addresses; this audience measurement cannot identify you personally. No consent is therefore required for it.

Your rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the following rights over your data: access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability.

To exercise them, write to us at alexis@cazbluebirds.re or by post to the registered office. We will reply as soon as possible.

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL (the French data protection authority) — www.cnil.fr.
